With Gallus Labelfire, we are taking printing services one step further

Gallus Labelfire is designed for printing self-adhesive labels. It combines the latest digital printing technology with the advantages of conventional printing. Hence the name "hybrid". This brings a whole range of benefits, such as speeding up production, efficiency and completely new printing options.

In addition to classic flexo printing units, the machine also includes other aggregates that allow us to apply various finishing and embellishment processes in one production operation.

The machine combines the unrivaled quality of highly efficient digital UV printing with the productivity and speed of flexo printing. The combination of digital white, CMYK, orange, violet and green means we can cover a large part of the PANTONE color gamut.

The key feature of the machine is its efficiency and flexibility. We can produce labels completely in a single production operation – from an unprinted roll to the final cut-out product without a waste grid. We can paint, laminate, decorate with cold embossing and cut-out labels, all without interrupting production and regardless of the complexity of the label.

The digital printing unit then even enables cost-effective series production with variable data and versioning. Compared to classic digital printing, with Gallus Labelfire a higher processing speed can be reached. This machine can print at speeds up to 70 bm/min. That is roughly twice as much as a standard digital machine.

Our Gallus Labelfire is configured for short and medium-term jobs. The machine initially consists of 2 flexo printing units, one of which you can use, e.g. to apply embossing film. This is followed by a digital injekt printing unit and behind it again 2 flexo printing units, between which there is a special DEU unit. All of this is finished with semi-rotary cutting, or the possibility of combining it with offline laser cutting.

The DEU unit is designed for the digital application of relief varnish up to a height of 100 microns. It is therefore an alternative to classic screen printing. Its advantage is that you do not have to pay the cost of the sieve. It is therefore affordable even for short series.

The relief varnish is applied using inkjet heads and is precise even in fine details. In addition, we can apply cold embossing to it and thus achieve the effect of a metallic relief, the so-called metallic doming.

The Gallus Labelfire is our first printing machine that uses an LED color drying system for flexo printing units. The advantages over classic UV technology include:

• Lower CO2 emissions, completely mercury-free and ozone-free
• Longer service life
• Lower need for maintenance
• Instant drying of colors
• Minimum time to warm up/cool down the entire system

Thanks to this, the machine is maximally productive, saves the environment and achieves significant energy savings compared to classic UV technology.

This technology is intended for printing self-adhesive labels. It is characterized by high print quality (1200 DPI), color resistance and a whole range of possible refinements, such as special varnishes, lamination, adhesive printing, 3D varnish or cold embossing or screen printing simulation. The machine consists of a digital unit that uses up to 8 colors, 4 flexo printing units and a DEU unit, thanks to which it can be alternatively created screen printing. The fact that what is printed is immediately cut out on the machine saves another operation compared to classic production.

Today, even short series can have the same results as on a large conventional machine. Conversely, even long series can use the possibilities of unique designs without the need to rebuild the machine. The possibilities of the digital unit in combination with the flexographic aggregates give you enormous freedom and room for creativity.
