Printed laminate for tubes

Attractive design-wise and perfectly protective of its contents.

A laminate tube is a film consisting of one or more layers. Its job is to protect its contents. The outside of the tube offers space for an original design that is not only attractive for the eyes, but also – thanks to a really wide range of enhancement options – often to the touch.

Method of production and printing

For printing laminates we mainly use flexographic machines, but our digital printers can also cope with them.

Flexographic printing is ideal for bigger jobs. It allows us to make maximum use of material widths up to 440 mm. This allows us to print multiple productions side by side. This makes production more efficient and cost-effective. You can use up to 10 colours to create your graphic design. Smaller jobs can be handled by digital printing, with up to 7 colours.

We are able to achieve perfect results with both technologies thanks to (among other reasons) the wide range of finishing processes at our disposal, e.g. by applying hot embossing or special varnishes. Attractive elements in the graphics are highlighted by rotary screen printing.

When you hear the words "laminate tubes", the toothpaste in your bathroom or your favourite hand cream will definitely spring to mind. The most common uses are definitely in the drugstore and cosmetics industry, but they can also be used in the pharmaceutical and chemical industries.

Materials

In most cases we print on standard five-layer film. This ensures optimum conditions for preserving contents for their entire shelf life. The film can either have an aluminum barrier (designated ABL) or a plastic one (designated PBL).

White or transparent laminate film (PE).

Laminate films combined with aluminum (PE/AL).

Our technological capacity provides a wide range of applications. We have both flexographic printing machines and digital technology at our disposal. This production versatility makes us a comprehensive partner. We are able to assist with both large and small batch production, from basic materials to more complex, bespoke solutions.

Special varnishes

Let varnish make your product shine! We offer a full or partial varnish, glossy or matt. And it is special varnishes like ësoft touchí that really allow you to fully perceive a product – not only by sight, but also by touch.

Hot embossing

Hot embossing adds a touch of elegance and luxury to the laminate, catching the eye right away. With the help of a hot stamping roller, we apply different types of embossing films: holographic, blue, gold, and red. This technology results in a perfect design, even with the finer graphic elements.

Rotary screen printing

Rotary screen printing offers customers superb print finishing by highlighting important elements or text in Braille. It allows us to apply a layer of printing ink or varnish that is an order of magnitude higher. In this way we achieve an embossing effect with texts and varnishes.
