Colognia press won Czech prestigious award Obal roku 2020

Last year, we participated in the competition Obal roku 2020. This time we nominated a laminate tube, which we print for the company Český národní podnik s.r.o.

Manufaktura’s laminate tubes are not only attractive, they are also produced using sophisticated printing technology. Within a single pass of the flexographic printing machine, we apply an embossed varnish using rotary screen printing, cold embossing, five UV flexographic inks and a matt partial varnish. 

The tubes themselves also add substantial value. The material, composed of six layers of polyethylene interspersed with an EVOH barrier, ensures the optimal conditions for preserving the contents throughout its usability. 

The solely Czech company, Český národní podnik, has enriched the market with many cosmetic products created with a care and love that is based on its philosophy: tradition, quality, natural raw materials, and respect for the environment. It also pays special attention to design, as a result, Manufaktura’s products have the potential to embellish any bathroom and prove to be a popular gift.

Obal roku is the only certified competition in the Czech Republic and Slovakia dealing with packaging solutions. Every year, dozens of companies take part in the competition with their products, which compete in several categories from cosmetics, beverages and food to e-commerce. Above all, an interesting idea, innovation and technological processing are valued.

Every year, there is also a gala evening, where the winners from individual categories are officially presented with the award. Unfortunately, this event had to be canceled last year due to anti-covid measures. Iva Werbynská, the owner and managing director of the SYBA Packaging Institute, was so kind and personally brought us the award to Kolín. You can see the photos from the handover below.
