This year, we entered just one product, CoolCAN - an online sales channel based on a web2print solution. The bet on a single card has paid off and we are proudly and with great pleasure to receive the prestigious Czech Packaging Award Obal roku 2021.
We received award Obal roku 2021 in the Process & Technology category. Jirka Havránek and Míša Kudrnová – our two-member marketing team – came for the trophy at a gala dinner held at the end of the packaging congress Obalko 9.
Obal roku is the only certified competition in the Czech Republic and Slovakia that deals with packaging solutions. Every year, dozens of companies take part in the competition with their products, in several categories - from cosmetics, beverages and food to e-commerce. The interesting idea, innovation and technological processing are especially appreciated.
The gala evening, during which the awards ceremony takes place, has traditionally taken place in the conference rooms of the Aquapalace Hotel Prague and was the imaginary icing on the cake after the all-day program of the packaging congress Obalko.
But that's not all. The winners of individual categories from national competitions can also traditionally apply for the WorldStar Award, which is organized every year by the World Packaging Organization (WPO). "Although the competition seems to be really strong this year, we can definitely win. It would be a great pity if we did not try it,“ Míša Kudrnová mentioned before submitting the application. And she was right. Today we can tell you that we really won this award.
While we already know the winners of the main categories, there are still awards in the special categories in the game. These are announced only as part of the ceremony, which will take place this year in early May in Milan, Italy. One of these categories is marketing, where we can potentially succeed. Wish us luck!
Christmas socks or a birthday box are a thing of the past. Thanks to the can's own design, the recipient will receive not only a unique gift, but above all the experience associated with it. The customer creates personalised designs for beer cans or energy drinky directly in the website’s editor. The minimum order quantity is 24 pieces. We print the designs using digital technology on a shrink sleeve, which is subsequently placed on the can and shrink to fit.
The entire label production process is automatic. The order passes to the printing machine without human intervention. So the first person to see it is the printer. This automated workflow reduces the error rate and production costs.
